Explore the world of robotics and coding with just one small, powerful tool—the Micro:bit! During this one-hour workshop on August 9th, participants will use Micro:bits to build and program simple robotic systems, learning how to bring code to life through motion, sensors, and creativity.
With step-by-step guidance, you'll learn how to:
-
Code your Micro:bit using beginner-friendly block programming
-
Make your robot respond to input, move, or light up
-
Complete fun mini-missions like obstacle detection or simple movement patterns
No prior coding or robotics experience required, but participants must know how to use a computer. All youth participants must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop. All materials are provided, and the OSC team will be there to support every step of the way!
Date: August 9th, 2025
Cost: $5/per youth – adults attend free!
