Registration for our 2026-2027 school year is now open.
Homeschool classes are Thursday afternoons:
Grade 1-2 - 1:00-1:45pm (Heritage Hall)
Grade 3-4 - 1:00-1:45pm (Program Room)
Grade 5-6 - 2:00-2:45pm (Program Room)

Each homeschool organization has its own process for funding educational programs. If your organization requires a formal invoice from the Okanagan Science Centre to allocate funding, please reach out to Samantha (Operations Manager) at s.primmer@okscience.ca or phone at 250.545.3644.

10 CLASS SERIES:
For the 10-class series, no refunds will be issued after registration. In cases of illness, a credit may be considered at the discretion of the Operations Manager.
INDIVIDUALLY PURCHASED CLASS(ES):
Cancellations made up to the Sunday prior to homeschool class start will receive a 100% refund minus a $5 per child/per class administration fee.
Cancellations made the week of class (Monday up to and including the morning of class), will receive a class credit that can be used for a future class or applied to another program (for example: camps).
MISSED CLASS:
If you miss a class without cancelling, no refund or credit will be applied.
If OSC cancels a homeschool class for any reason, then a 100% refund will be issued.

Yes! The safety of your child(ren) is our priority. All parents/caregivers are required to sign their child(ren) in and out at the beginning and end of each homeschool class. No exceptions. Photo ID may be required - please ensure you bring ID with you at all time.

Parents and caregivers are not required to stay in the room during homeschool classes. However, if your child benefits from your presence and support, we encourage you to remain for the duration of the class.

The Okanagan Science Centre is committed to providing hands-on, experimental learning for students within the Okanagan region.
Each class is 45-minutes long. Classes include approximately 10 minutes of instruction with the remainder of the 45-minutes for hands-on experimentation.
Please note that planetarium shows are not hands-on and are located in our planetarium dome.
