    Where in the Science Centre will my birthday party take place?

    We have two program spaces available for birthday parties: the Program Room inside the main Science Centre building and Heritage Hall, located at the north end of our parking lot. A few days before your party, OSC staff will confirm which space your celebration will be held in.

    Please note that we are unable to reserve or guarantee a specific party room in advance, and OSC reserves the right to change the assigned space at any time if needed.

    How many kids can I invite to the party?

    Each birthday party includes up to 12 children max. If you’re expecting more, additional children are welcome at a cost of $5 per child, which can be paid at the front desk on the day of your party.

    We’ll connect with you a few days before your celebration to confirm your estimated number of attendees.

    Can I bring decorations?

    Yes! Bringing your own decorations is encouraged, but tape and/or adhesive strips of any kind are not permitted to be used on the walls. Sticky tack is preferred, but not supplied by OSC.

    Is there a fridge available for use during the party?

    Refrigeration for food/cake is not available for birthday parties.

    I saw the age recommendations for the birthday party themes. Are these flexible?

    Ages are just a guideline! We can customize the activities for older or younger ages for any birthday party theme!

    When will I receive additional information about my Science Centre birthday party?

    A few days prior to your birthday party booking, and OSC staff member will send you a detailed email with additional information including arrival time, location of your party, etc. If you have questions prior to receiving the email, please contact us at 250.545.3644 or info@okscience.ca.

    I’m interested in customizing my party. Is this something the Science Centre can accommodate?

    We do offer some options for customizing your party! While there are certain guidelines to follow, we’d be happy to discuss how we can make your celebration special. Feel free to reach out at 250.545.3644 or info@okscience.ca, and we can explore the possibilities!

    What is the cancellation policy for birthday parties?

    Full payment is required at the time of booking and will be refunded 100% if the party is cancelled at least 10 days before the party date.

    If the party is cancelled within 10 days of the party date, a 50% refund will be issued unless extenuating circumstances approved by OSC management.
