Get into the holiday spirit with a little science magic! Join the Okanagan Science Centre for special Christmas-themed workshops filled with creativity, experiments and festive fun. Each 45-minute session features a hands-on activity where kids can create something of their own while discovering the science behind the magic.
From sparkling snow globes to fizzy Christmas creations, there's something exciting to make, explore and take home!
December 5th - Shake, Sparkle & Snow Globes! - Let's design and build your very own Christmas snow globe. Add a sprinkle of sparkle, a dash of winter magic and discover the science behind swirling snow and floating glitter. Take home your one-of-a-kind creation and enjoy a little Christmas magic wherever you go!
December 12th - Bubble, Fizz & Be Merry Bath Bombs - Mix, create and experiment as you make your own fizzy Christmas bath bombs. Discover the science behind the bubbles and chemical reactions, and take home a little holiday magic of your own!
December 19th - Tinsel & Test Tubes - Add a little science to your Christmas decorating! Create your own festive decorations using test tubes, colourful materials, glitter and a little imagination. Mix, layer and design your own miniature Christmas creations to take home and display!
Suitable for ages 5-10.
Location: Okanagan Science Centre
Saturdays in December at 11:00-11:45am
Each workshop is designed to be approximately 45 minutes in length.
Cost: $10 per youth per workshop (free for attending adults)
