What is the air quality like in Vernon?

View the feed at the air quality monitoring station located on the second floor of the Okanagan Science centre.

Air quality is the presence of contaminants in the air that impact human health and the the environment. Particles are monitored over a period of time and are reported  in a concentrated measurement, usually :

  • PM2.5 = fine particles with a diameter of 2.5 microns (millionths of a metre)
  • PM10 = small particles with a diameter of 10 microns

You can view air particulate motoring on the BC Government website under Air Quality Monitoring or by visiting the Science centre on the second floor.
