Join us at the Okanagan Science Centre each Sunday in October and make your Sundays a little more scientific and SPOooOooOKY!
Designed to encourage learning through play and exploration, Spooky Sunday Science is the perfect way to experiment, discover, and have fun together. With a different themed activity every week, there’s always a new reason to come back!
October 4th - Haunted House Engineers - Design, build and test your very own haunted house while exploring the science of structures, forces and stability. Can your spooky creation survive a shake, a gust of wind, or even a monster attack?
October 11th - The Great Pumpkin Lab - Young scientists will investigate what’s inside a pumpkin, explore its fascinating properties, and conduct fun, messy experiments - including bubbling reactions and a spectacular pumpkin surprise.
October 18th - Webs, Ooze, & Creepy Goo - Let's explore the fascinating science behind spider webs, stretchy materials and creepy goo through fun experiments and gooey investigations. Come prepared to squish, stretch, test and discover!
October 25th - Bubbling Witches Brew - Grab your goggles and get ready to brew up some spooky science! Young scientists will mix, fizz and bubble their way through hands-on potion experiments while discovering the science behind chemical reactions, gases and colourful transformations. Will your witches’ brew bubble, fizz or overflow?
