Give your young scientist the opportunity to explore, experiment, and discover through hands-on science! Our Grades 5-6 Homeschool Science Classes are designed to complement the British Columbia Science Curriculum, with age-appropriate topics, demonstrations, experiments, and hands-on activities that encourage curiosity and scientific thinking.
Suitable for Grades 5-6
Day/Time: Thursdays at 2:00-2:45pm
Location: Program Room, Okanagan Science Centre
Class Length: 45 minutes
Format: Approximately 10 minutes of topic introduction followed by hands-on learning and exploration, wherever applicable.
All necessary supplies and materials will be provided.
Parents and caregivers are not required to stay for the duration of the class and may drop students off. They are welcome to remain in the room if they choose. If a student requires additional support with behaviour, participation, or learning, a parent/caregiver may be asked to stay for the duration of the class to help provide that support.
There are two ways to register:
Winter Class Series – All 10 Classes
Register for all 10 winter classes at a discounted rate. This option provides the best value for families planning to attend the full series. (Please note: The 10-class series is non-refundable.)
Individual Winter Class(es)
Choose individual classes based on your family's schedule and availability. (Please note: individually purchases classes are refundable following our cancellation policy. See our FAQ on the homeschool page for more details.)
