Get ready for The Ultimate Showdown: Oobleck vs. Slime! In this hands-on workshop for ages 12 and under, young scientists will dive into the fascinating world of non-Newtonian fluids and polymers. Kids will mix, stretch, squeeze, and experiment as they create their own oobleck and slime—discovering how these strange substances can act like both solids and liquids.
With a strong focus on sensory exploration, this workshop encourages curiosity through touch, movement, and play. It’s messy, exciting, and packed with science as participants compare textures and decide for themselves—which will win the ultimate showdown?
Included in general admission rates and members are free. All youth must be registered to participate in the workshop.

Doors open 5 minutes prior to workshop. No early entry.
Space is limited and registration required. Additional guests will be allowed into the workshop if spacing allows.
Parents/caregivers must remain with youth for the duration of the workshop as well as during their time within the Okanagan Science Centre exhibit spaces.
