We have our summer job postings NOW OPEN. Postings open until April 23,2021.

These positions are a part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program with funding provided by Service Canada. Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered:

  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person on whom refugee protections has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act And legally entitled to work according to relevant provincial legislation and regulations (international students on a work/study permit are not eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs Program)

Education Program Coordinator (1 position open)

Post secondary student enrolled in/or have an interest in sciences. Previous camp experience or working with youth required.

Education Program Coordinator-Digital (1 position open)

Post Secondary Student enrolled in Digital Marketing or have experience with digital marketing. Must have an interest in STEAM based learning. Previous experience considered an asset.

Education Program Assistants ( 4 positions available)

No experience necessary, however an interest in sciences and working with youth is required.

* Criminal record check for working with youth and the vulnerable sector is required for all positions

 Volunteer Opportunities

We know that we could not do everything we do to promote science in the Okanagan without the help of our tireless and dedicated volunteers!  Our volunteers help out with everything from building maintenance, critter care, helping with programs and camps, driving us to outreach bookings, and much more!

 To be a volunteer with the OSC you must:

  • care about science and sharing it with others
  • be at least 14 years old and in grade 9
  • fill out a volunteer application
  • attend a volunteer interview and orientation
  • provide the OSC with a current criminal record check

 Please be aware that the Okanagan Science Centre has a volunteer application process and that you must be at least in the ninth grade and 14 years old or older. Successful completion of a vulnerable sector criminal records check is a requirement of volunteering at the Okanagan Science Centre.
